Looking Back on 2012 and Looking Ahead to 2013

I don’t know about you, but when I look back at 2012, all I can say is WOW!   As you know, I took a step of faith in July to fully follow what God had put on my heart, to put all my efforts into Go4Him.  I knew that it would be hard, but I also knew that if I did what God called me to do he would supply the ministries needs and mine.  I can say without hesitation that He has met these needs through your faithful prayers and support.

I knew when I started Go4Him, I would have to carry the fiduciary responsibility along with my board of directors.  I also knew that if I wanted God to bless it, I would have to be faithful.  Matthew 25:23 says, “His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have been faithful in a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  (Some versions say “large” things)  Come share in your master’s happiness.”

This year I have done my best to be faithful.  A few of the highlights from 2012 were:

·         Monthly financial support to Girlandie, an orphan in Haiti.  This support allows her to attend school.  It pays for all of her education as well as her food, shelter, clothing and medical expenses.

·         Paid off the Rest4Him Ministries land in Colorado.  These funds were designated specifically for this project.

·         Made the deposit on the Rest4Him construction project.  As a good steward, we have decided to do this as we can afford it with cash.  We will not go into debt.

·         Supported students on mission trips to Honduras.

·         Spent time networking with churches, schools, and other organizations, letting them know about our mission and how we can help them achieve the great commission together.

Of course we want to leave room for God to do amazing things through Go4Him Ministries in 2013…just a few that are already scheduled:

·         Three missions trips to Guatemala in which I am organizing and leading.  Two are student mission trips and one is a family mission trip.

·         Run projects on the upcoming mission trips.  This includes construction, evangelism, working in schools and the local communities.

·         One Haiti trip to visit and follow up on Girlandie’s care and progress.

·         Fundraising efforts and coordination in the selling of Guatemalan coffee to the US.  We hope to kick this off in February.  This will help fund projects undertaken by Go4Him Ministries.  Be watching the website for details! www.Go4Him.org.

·         Delivering antimicrobial shoes to Guatemala, Haiti, and Africa.  Shoes will be purchased by the coffee sales.

·         Fundraise for Rest4Him.  The immediate needs here are: Water well $3,500, Septic system $3,500, home construction $145,000.

Finally, I would like to express my thanks for helping me fulfill the vision that God put on my heart.  Without YOU, none of this would be possible.  It is humbling to me when I consider that God would use me, and that you would listen to God and support Go4Him ministry.  I know that this is just the beginning…God has so much more that he wants to do through Go4Him.   Please prayerfully consider continuing your support of this ministry with both your resources and especially your prayers.

Isaiah 58: 6-9 says, “Is not this the kind of fasting that I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear: then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.  Then you will call, and the Lord will answer.”
